Positions Available

Due to the fact we are a small start up, we are only able to offer unpaid work exchange opportunies or internships at this time. None the less you should be really excited about the idea of coming to work with us. How many people can say they were part of the first shipping container workshop in the country?

It’s all about location, location, location. You well be living, working and playing at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage an Intentional Community in Northeastern Missouri. See what it’s like to live in a community where everyone does know each other and work cooperatively with one another.

Please contact us if you want to find out more about our work exchange opportunities.

Container House Workshops is looking for someone to participate in a shipping container building project from design phase through construction.

You’ll help put together the illustrated design proposal (required by Dancing Rabbit) for a multi-container, multi-unit, shipping container structure with both commercial and residential spaces. This is a great opportunity to add something to your portfolio that’s just now coming into mainstream popularity. You will also blog about and for Container House Workshops as part of your work requirement.

Construction of the building will be done during three building workshops with students learning as they build. You will spend some time assisting instructors on site during the hands-on portions of the workshops, offering oversight and supervision. There may also be an opportunity for you to work on Dancing Rabbit’s new eco-groovy common house set to break ground this year.

It’s important to us that you receive the full ecovillage experience so we’ve set up our program to make sure that happens. You’ll work 24 hours a week on the Container House Workshop project and 8 hours a week working on other projects around the village, including attending mini workshops or work parties that Dancing Rabbit organizes through our visitor program.
